Evening Breakers, Milford on Sea
On a visit to Milford on Sea, I walked down to the beach after a very wet and stormy day. The surf was still very rough with some breakers coming over the sea wall. Not an evening to put up my easel, so I took some photos and video footage instead before heading home. Back in the studio and inspired by the light and movement, I painted this view from a combination of the photos and particularly the video footage.

The dark green background wall picks out the colour of the sea, but this painting would look just as good on a warm grey or even grey-violet wall. The painting appears at the correct scale and with a white traditional style frame similar to the one supplied.
