Hello and welcome
I am Melanie Cambridge, a landscape artist based in South London, UK.
My work is a celebration of the land and coast around us. I am a painter of light, space and weather. Inspiration comes from painting directly from life in all seasons to capture the fleeting effects of light in the landscape. Larger works are then produced in my studio, often based on these smaller "plein air" studies. By creating art, I hope to show you my vision of the world and share it with you.
Studio visits
I actively encourage studio visits - there's no better way to experience original paintings than by seeing them "in the flesh". Visits are by appointment only, with absolutely no pressure to purchase, its simply an opportunity to see the work and have a conversation about what you are looking for.
