Hello and welcome
I am Melanie Cambridge, a landscape artist based in South London, UK.
My work is a celebration of the land and coast around us. I am a painter of light, space and weather. Inspiration comes from painting directly from life in all seasons to capture the fleeting effects of light in the landscape. Larger works are then produced in my studio, often based on these smaller "plein air" studies. By creating art, I hope to show you my vision of the world and share it with you.

Buying online needn't be scary
I want you to be delighted with your purchase. Photos of paintings are not enhanced, and people always comment that my paintings look far lovelier in real life than they ever do on a screen. However, if you receive a painting and are not 100% happy with it you can return it in perfect condition within fourteen days to receive a full refund. All I ask is that you let me know in advance of returning any artwork. Ship it as I do, fully insured and tracked. If you wish to return a painting, please email me before doing so.
Studio Visits
I actively encourage studio visits - there's no better way to experience original paintings than by seeing them "in the flesh". Visits are by appointment only, with absolutely no pressure to purchase, its simply an opportunity to see the work and have a conversation about what you are looking for.

I love working with people to create a commission. Having a painting of somewhere which holds a personal memory makes a very special gift.
