Plein air paintings are produced entirely on location, usually within 1-2 hours. I love this style of painting. It is very exciting to be working quickly to capture the light and atmosphere before it changes. What you get when you own a plein air painting is my immediate response to the scene in front of me, creating a lively, if perhaps a little unfinished looking, work when compared to a studio painting.
All plein air paintings are on a smaller scale, painted on primed boards and supplied unframed (postage free within the UK). Available to view and purchase directly through this website using a secure payment system (hosted via Romancart).
