Springtime, Ripley Meadows
The view across the meadows from Dodds Bridge on the River Wey was the inspiration for this springtime view. Having walked along the towpath from the Anchor Inn, I found several places to look through the trees to view this open meadow. A series of quick sketches and photos gave me all the inspiration I needed to create this larger scale oil painting when back in my studio.
